A Watch Charm Rolls-Royce: The Spectacular Metropolitan
The
Metropolitan was truly the first American-designed subcompact automobile.
One of the few cars ever designed by the public, Nash Motors actually asked
the public what they wanted in an economy car. Introduced in 1954 at the height
of the big car era, the tiny Met would battle the Detroit behomoths for nine
years. Along with its bigger sibling, the Rambler, the two cars would virtually
start the economy car revolution of the 1960s. Class/Action Video takes you
on an in-depth journey through the history of the car affectionately dubbed,
the 'Watch Charm Rolls-Royce'.
